Client Brief: Kung Fu themed image based on vintage comic books, graphic novels and 70’s comic art.
Preferred colour scheme: red.
My biggest challenge for this commission was not only a short deadline of less than a week, but it was also my first attempt at an illustration of this style. Initially, I chose to focus my attention on the composition, and the placement of the character. Moving on afterwards to refine the styling of smoke, clouds, colours and textures.
